Pool Loan Payment per $10,000 Borrowed

Find your row, then multiply by the number of $10,000 blocks you plan to borrow. A $50,000 loan is five blocks.

30 years$77/mo$17,681$103/mo$27,030

Each row assumes $10,000 financed with no down payment, the fixed APR shown, and equal monthly payments for the full term. Our lending partner, VistaFi, uses a rule of thumb of about $100 a month for every $10,000 with strong credit. That matches the 15-year row.

How This Pool Loan Calculator Works

The calculator uses the standard formula for a fixed-rate loan with equal monthly payments. Each payment covers that month's interest first, and the rest pays down your balance.

Monthly payment = Loan × r ÷ (1 − (1 + r)−n), where r is the APR divided by 12 and n is the number of months.

Use the APR, not the interest rate, when you have a real offer. The CFPB explains that APR adds fees to the rate, which makes it the fairer number to compare.

Early payments are mostly interest. Open the payment schedule above to see how fast your balance falls each year.

What Price Should You Enter?

Enter the finished backyard price, not the starting price on a brochure. A pool-only price leaves out the deck, fence, and permit, and those bills arrive after the loan is set.

Concrete decking alone runs $17 to $21 per square foot on our builds. Our guide to pool-only pricing shows how to build the full number.

Check the Payment Against Your Budget

Lenders look at your debt-to-income ratio. The CFPB defines your debt-to-income ratio as your monthly debt payments divided by your gross monthly income.

Here is a quick example. A family earns $6,000 a month before taxes and pays $2,000 a month toward debts. That is 33%. Add a $673 pool payment, and the ratio climbs to about 45%.

Run your own numbers before you apply, so the payment still feels easy in a bad month.

Costs This Calculator Leaves Out

The payment above covers the loan only. A pool also adds homeowners insurance, property tax, and running costs.

The Oklahoma Insurance Department suggests pool owners review their liability coverage. It also warns that an insurer can cancel a policy if a new pool goes unreported.

Pool Loan Calculator Questions

How do you calculate a pool loan payment?
Divide the APR by 12 to get the monthly rate. Multiply the loan by that rate, then divide by one minus (one plus the rate) raised to the negative number of months. For example, $68,337 at 8.5% APR over 15 years is 180 payments of $672.94.
How much is a pool payment per $10,000?
At 8.5% APR, $10,000 costs about $98 a month over 15 years, $87 over 20 years, and $77 over 30 years. At 12% APR, the same $10,000 costs about $120, $110, and $103 a month. These assume no down payment.
Does a down payment lower my pool payment?
Yes. A down payment shrinks the amount you finance, which lowers both the payment and the total interest. Putting $6,834 down on a $68,337 pool at 8.5% APR over 15 years drops the payment from $672.94 to about $605.64.
What APR should I use in a pool loan calculator?
Use the APR from a real loan offer when you have one. Until then, our lending partner VistaFi reported about 8.5% APR for credit near 800 and about 12% for credit near 650 in October 2026. Your own rate depends on your credit, income, and debts, so pull your free credit reports before you pick a row.
How much pool can I afford for $600 a month?
At 8.5% APR over 15 years, a $600 monthly payment covers a loan of about $60,900. Add any down payment to that number to get your pool budget. Switch the calculator to "My monthly budget" to try your own payment.
Does this calculator include taxes and insurance?
No. It covers the loan payment only. Add homeowners insurance changes, property tax, and running costs like power and chemicals to see your full monthly cost.
Is this pool loan calculator a loan offer?
No. It is an estimate for planning. Your APR, term, and approval come from a lender. Silverado Rock is not a lender and does not make credit decisions.

All payment figures assume a fixed APR and equal monthly payments for the full term. They also assume the down payment shown, which is $0 unless you enter one. Example: $68,337 financed at 8.5% APR for 15 years is 180 payments of $672.94, with $52,792 in total interest. At 12% APR, the same loan is 180 payments of $820.16. The 8.5% and 12% APRs are what VistaFi reported for strong and fair credit in October 2026. Results are estimates, not loan offers. Your APR, term, and approval come from the lender and depend on your credit, income, and debts. VistaFi Solutions is not a lender (NMLS ID 2538400). Silverado Rock is not a lender and does not make credit decisions.
