Northeast Oklahoma hides sandstone shelf and caliche under perfectly ordinary looking grass. No builder can see it from the surface, and any builder who tells you the price cannot possibly move is either guessing or planning to make it up somewhere else.
Silverado Rock does not drill test holes before the dig. A hole that misses the rock by two feet would not tell you anything useful anyway. The first honest look at what is under your yard happens once the excavator starts moving dirt.
If the excavator hits rock, work stops. Jason calls you from the yard, sends you a photo of what is down there, and gives you the number to break through it.
You approve that cost before a single dollar is added. You can also stop the project at that point and owe nothing beyond the work already completed.
That is the entire list of ways your price can move. One item, and you see it with your own eyes before you pay for it.
You are getting more than one quote. Good. Here is the honest version of that comparison, including the part where the cheaper pool is the right call.
Sometimes it wins. If you want water in the yard by August, your kids are young, and you expect to move inside five years, a kit pool is the smarter purchase and we would rather say so than talk you into something you did not want.
Just compare the same things. A kit pool is a prefabricated shape off a shelf, set on a sand bottom, at a flat depth of about 52 inches from one end to the other. No deep end, no diving, and the shape is whichever one they stock. The rock is usually a molded product, not stone. Decking is quoted by a different contractor after the pool is in, which is why the number on the tag is not the number you pay.
Ours is cut for your lot. Pool-crete bottom instead of sand. Depth designed rather than fixed. Natural stone stacked by hand on the exposed wall. Decking, permits, and the warranty are inside the price, quoted by the same person who builds it.
Add the deck to the cheaper quote before you compare them. Most of the gap closes right there, and what is left is the difference between a pool that was picked and a pool that was built.
A yard that drops three feet from the patio to the back fence is a problem for a standard inground build. It is an advantage for a semi-inground pool.
The shell sits partly above grade. One to three feet of the wall stays exposed, and we face that wall in hand-stacked natural rock so the pool reads as a raised stone feature instead of a hole in the ground. The lawn falls away below it. You skip the excavation and retaining wall cost, and you end up with the better looking pool.

Four things that decide whether a Jenks pool project runs smoothly or stalls out. We handle all four.
Plenty of homes with Jenks mailing addresses and Jenks Public Schools sit inside Tulsa city limits. Stonebrooke is the one people ask about most. Those builds go through Tulsa’s permit office instead of Jenks, on a different schedule with different setback rules.
Jason checks which side of the line your lot falls on during the site visit, before any date gets promised. A builder who quotes you a permit timeline without checking that first is guessing.
Jenks moves faster than most cities in the metro, but the submission still needs a plot plan, setback documentation, and exact measurements. Several established neighborhoods also require architectural review, which is a separate package from the city permit. We capture everything on the site walk, file both, and run the two tracks at the same time where the HOA allows it. Target window is two to three weeks to approval.
Northeast Oklahoma clay expands and contracts with moisture. Pools built without proper steel and drainage show movement within a few years. We design around the clay from the excavation up, based on what we find on your specific lot.
Heavy equipment comes down your driveway or through the side yard, and the route gets picked on the site visit so you know in advance what gets crossed. Ruts in the lawn get repaired before we go. Spoil and materials stay staged on your lot, not on the street. Crews start after seven and are gone by dark. If your HOA has hours or parking rules, tell Jason at the site visit and the schedule gets built around them.
The permit clears in a few weeks, we break ground shortly after, and the pool is done and covered before winter. It is full and ready the morning next season opens. You lose nothing, because nobody swims through a Jenks winter anyway.
Every builder in the metro takes their deposits in March. The permit office slows down, the crews are booked, and a March signature turns into a July pool. You pay the same money and lose half the summer waiting for it.

One crew handles all of it. Twenty years and more than a hundred pools in this soil, so nobody shows up wondering what the last guy did. The week the pipe goes in is the week your electric bill for the next twenty years gets decided, and Jason is in the trench for that one. Nothing about it can be revised later.
We fill it, get the chemistry right, and clear final inspection. Then Jason stands at the equipment pad and teaches you the thing most owners never learn: which settings to leave alone. He answers the phone after that too. That part does not expire.

The OK Plunge is $19,999, about $167 a month. Rectangle Semi-Inground is $64,999, about $543 a month. EvoPools Fiberglass Pools start at $45,000. Custom gunite starts at $100,000. Those are starting prices. At $64,999 the shell, rock surround, waterfall wall, snack bar, 200 sq ft of decking, equipment, permits, and a 20-year warranty are all covered. Adding decking, rock, size, or outdoor living moves the number up. Electrical hookup, dirt removal, and bar stools are quoted separately. Once Jason has walked your yard, the number he writes down is fixed.
Gunite costs more up front than a kit pool or a fiberglass shell. It takes longer to build, because the shell is formed on site instead of dropped in a day. And it needs resurfacing eventually, usually well past the ten-year mark, where a fiberglass surface never does. What you get for those tradeoffs is any shape, any depth, and a shell built to hold up on Oklahoma clay. If you want water in the yard by August and plan to move within five years, gunite is probably not your pool, and Jason will tell you that on the site visit.

Booking in March usually means swimming in July, because every builder in the metro takes deposits at the same time.
