You talk to the builder, not a salesperson.
I'm Jason Cherry. I've built pools in Green Country for 29 years, first as Cherry Pools and now as Silverado Rock. I handle every consultation and I'm on every build.
I'll be straight with you. The biggest difference between builders is the part you never see. I set every fiberglass shell on 3/8 chip stone and backfill with it too. On a typical fiberglass pool that's 80 to 100 tons of stone. Sand can wash out from under a pool. Chip stone stays put.
Take your time on this page. When you're ready to talk, you'll talk to me.

What goes under the pool
3/8 chip stone, not sand
About $3,375 of stone goes under and around a typical fiberglass pool. Leisure Pools reviewed and approved this method. Ask any builder what they backfill with.
Sloped yard?
Plan for the wall
A retaining wall and fill ahead of a full inground pool runs $10,000 to $15,000. A semi-inground pool can often skip it. Jason measures every yard on site.

Is Silverado Rock right for you?
A pool built for the next twenty summers.
Here is who we build for, and where a different choice may serve you better.
You will feel at home with us if
You care how it is built, not just how it looks
- You want the owner on your build, not a rotating crew lead
- You want to know what goes under the pool, not just the shell you can see
- You would rather hear the hard parts up front than be surprised mid-build
- You have a sloped yard and other builders shrugged at it
Find your best fit
Jason will point you the right way
- Swimming next summer matters most? A semi-inground pool builds in about 26 days.
- Dreaming of a vanishing edge or free shape? Custom gunite gives you the most freedom.
- Want warm water in January? A separate spa stays open after the pool is closed for winter.

Questions families ask before they call
Straight answers before you talk to anyone. Do not see yours? Ask Jason.
Is the lot check really free?
Yes. It is free, and it is a look, not a sales visit. Jason calls first to set a time and never shows up unannounced. He checks your slope, access and where a pool fits best, then sends you his yard notes within a day.
What is not included in your starting prices?
Permits, dirt hauling and crane service are priced after we see your yard. A crane is only needed for fiberglass. If your electrical panel needs an upgrade, that is extra as well.
Can my price change after I sign?
Your quoted price is fixed. The one exception is buried rock the excavator hits while digging. If that happens, we stop and talk with you before any extra work starts.
How long does a pool take to build?
A semi-inground pool takes about 26 days. A fiberglass pool takes 4 to 6 weeks, including shell delivery. A custom gunite pool takes 3 to 6 months from signing. Permits take one to four weeks, depending on your city.
Can you build a pool on a sloped yard?
Yes. A full inground pool on a slope may need a retaining wall and fill, which runs $10,000 to $15,000. A semi-inground pool can often be set into the high side of the hill instead. Jason measures every yard on site.
Who will I work with?
Jason Cherry, the owner. He handles every consultation and every build himself, and the same trade crews return on each project.
Should my spa be attached to the pool?
Jason recommends a separate spa for most families. It costs less to keep hot, gives better hydrotherapy and stays open all winter. A Leisure Pools spa starts at about $22,000 installed, with the concrete pad included.
