How Long Does It Take to Build an Inground Pool?
A vinyl liner pool takes about 26 days to build. A fiberglass pool takes 4 to 6 weeks once the shell is ordered and delivered. A custom gunite pool takes 3 to 6 months. Permits come first and add one to four weeks on top.
Most pool companies say fiberglass is the fastest option. On our jobs it is not. A fiberglass shell has to be ordered, built at the factory, and trucked to your yard. A vinyl liner pool is built on site, so nothing waits on a delivery date.
Each city sets its own permit pace. Jason files every permit for you. Broken Arrow, Bixby, Jenks, and Owasso each run their own office, so the same pool can clear faster in one town than the next.
Season matters more than most homeowners expect. A gunite pool started in October can be ready by May. The same pool started in April may not be ready until fall.
